Careers in Nursing
In today’s complex health care environments, more and more management-level nursing positions require a graduate or advanced degree. The role of the nurse administrator or nurse manager is to assist the nursing staff in delivering quality patient care by working to implement patient care guidelines. Nurse administrators make sure that shifts are adequately staffed by managing the delivery and use of supplies, and by managing the budget in their place of employment. Management-level nursing positions require a master’s or an advanced degree in nursing or health services administration.
